Finn Wolfhard happy to live with parents – and he’s not shy about it.

At 22, the Stranger Things star has bounced between living solo and being with family, but right now, he’s back home in Vancouver and loving the normalcy.
“I lived alone for a couple years,” he told People, “but now I’m back with my family. We all have our own space, but we live together, and it’s great.” For Finn, it’s more than just a convenience. With his busy schedule filming shows like Stranger Things, coming back to a familiar space means everything. “If I’m going to be away most of the year, I want to have a home base with my parents.”
Living in Canada gives him the break he needs. He’s into low-key days – walking around Vancouver, playing guitar, recording music in his studio, and watching a bunch of TV and YouTube. Just simple, grounding stuff that keeps him sane in a whirlwind career.
And speaking of that fast-paced world, Finn knows how important it is to slow down. “There’s a lot of multitasking, doing five things at once,” he said. “So it’s important to take time off.” He’s already thinking about planning a vacation in the next few months.

Reflecting on the early days of his career, Finn admits the launch of Stranger Things was overwhelming. “It blew up overnight,” he shared. “I don’t think I’d go back and change anything, but maybe I’d tell myself to get into therapy right away. It was so crazy that there wasn’t even time to think.”
But now, with a little more balance in his life and support from family, he’s found his groove. Being back with his parents isn’t just about convenience – it’s about reconnecting, staying grounded, and finding a slice of calm in the middle of the storm.
Love seeing Finn stay grounded despite the fame?
