Singer Tamar Braxton is recovering after what she described as a near-death accident over the weekend.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The 48-year-old shared the news on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Aug. 19, revealing she suffered serious injuries and was found unconscious and bleeding by a friend.<\/p>\n

\"Tamar<\/p>\n

\u201cI struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can\u2019t even really talk anymore I\u2019m so weak,\u201d Braxton wrote. \u201cI almost died Sunday. I was found in a pool of blood from my friend with a face injury.\u201d<\/p>\n

Braxton said the aftermath has been difficult. \u201cAs the days go by the worse it is,\u201d she explained. \u201cI fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility. \ud83d\udc94 The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend my mental journey begins\u2026 pray for me for real. I don\u2019t even know what happened to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the background of her post, Braxton played the worship song Spirit Lead Me by Clavier. She later shared Proverbs 31, a Bible passage about strength, writing: \u201cThank you God for waking me up today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Preparing for Tour Amid Recovery<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Despite her health scare, Braxton had recently been preparing for her upcoming tour. Back in March, she posted a video performing her 2013 track Stay and Fight, telling fans, \u201cIt is OFFICIALLY tour time! \u2026 A whole new set list\u2026 and the new music STARTS HERE!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

She also shared her commitment to healthier habits ahead of the shows: \u201cBday is over so no more drinks\u2026 No more carbs\u2026 all body and VOICE!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Family and Legacy<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Braxton returned to TV last year alongside her sisters Toni, Trina, and Towanda, and their mother Evelyn \u201cMiss E\u201d Braxton for the WEtv reality series The Braxtons. The show was created to honor their late sister Traci, who died in 2022 following an esophageal cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe main reason for wanting to do The Braxtons again is because of Traci,\u201d Toni said in a trailer. \u201cShe asked us to do this – this was her last wish.\u201d<\/p>\n

Season 2 of The Braxtons has already been renewed, continuing the family\u2019s long-running reality TV legacy after Braxton Family Values.<\/p>\n
